One of my favorite moments at a wedding is when the groom first sees his bride.  Many times the groom eyes light up and will have a grin to stretch from cheek to cheek.  Sometimes, I’ll the groom will even shed tears of joy.  Other times they are fighting back the tears.  During Amy and Rob’s wedding, Rob’s expression says it all.  Amy looked absolutely G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S!  They celebrate their nuptials at the quaint Villa Royale Inn in Palm Springs amongst family and friends.  Thank you Amy and Rob for choosing me to be part of your big day!

Mariah is a bright and sweet young lady.  I not only had the pleasure of taking her high school senior portraits but I’ve had the opportunity to get to know her and her wonderful mother during lunch and tea dates.  During one of our meetings, Mariah shared the sweetest words that brought tears to my eyes.  She not only shared how wonderful the session was, but most important how it was different because I treated her like one of her friends.  I felt the same way.  Comments like that make me love my job even more.  I love meeting and developing relationships with wonderful people.  Thank you Mariah!  I wish you a wonderful and successful future.

Mariah ordered a set of cute little accordion books.  I wish I would have taken a pic to show you.

Here’s what her book layout looks like.

Beauty in a Red Dress!  Mariela has a spunky sense of style and I totally loved the cute lil’ dress she choose for her portraits.  I also dig the locations we went to as they reflect her personality.  Mariela was recently was nominated for prom court.  Congratulations on this and your upcoming graduation!

Harrison ~ Headshot Photographer

April 8, 2011 at 3:24 pm

Harrison is a natural in front of the camera.  Add some Justin B. (he’s a HUGE fan) tunes to the background and he totally rocks the session.  These head shots were taken to submit to his modeling agency.  Can’t wait to see him star in a commercial or print ad.

Nicole + Craig ~ Engagement Session

April 8, 2011 at 12:26 am

Ready, Get Set, Go!  Nicole and Craig got a real workout during their session.  They are both avid runners and wanted to include their favorite pastime as part of their session.  I was all for it considering that I enjoy running as well.  We had so much fun!   It was also pretty cool running into my high school cross country coach before the session.   Ah, memories.  Stay tuned for Nicole and Craig’s Engagement Session Part II coming this summer.

Melissa + James ~ Engagement Session

February 13, 2011 at 5:57 am

Loved, loved, loved capturing the LOVE between Melissa and James.  They are just too cute together.  For their session we traveled to Silent Valley, near Idyllwild, to take some photographs at their “secret” spot.  Afterwards, we ended up taking photos throughout the area because  it was just so beautiful.  I have been there before during the summer but couldn’t believe how different  it looks this time of year.  Melissa and James are both musicians and volunteer their talent at their church.  That is how they met and their relationship grew as they served the Lord.  So I  couldn’t resist capturing them creating some lovely tunes.  Thank you Melissa & James and I can’t wait for your wedding!

When I met Cynthia, she shared that the most important part of her wedding was to say “I do”.  In the midst of wedding planning, some couples forget this part because they get lost in the details.  On their wedding day, their ceremony location within the venue was changed twice due to inclement weather.  Even though tt was cold and rainy and last minute changes were made,  they didn’t seemed bothered.  They were both very relaxed, very much in love and ready to walk down the aisle.  After they said their “I do’s”, one of the most endearing parts of the ceremony was when the officiant gave their 2 adorable young children a blessing.  Zane teared up.  It was touching to see that kind of emotion.  Thank you Cynthia and Zane for letting me capture the most important part of your day and all the other moments too!

Christina + Matt ~ Palm Springs Photographer

January 17, 2011 at 3:57 pm

Christina, a daughter of a family friend, and I met years ago when we were both teenagers.  When Christina called me to schedule her engagement session I was so excited to capture this moment for them.  For their engagement session we traveled to Whitewater Preserve.  This was my first trip there and it won’t be my last.  It a great place for the family to have a picnic and go for a hike.  Afterwards we headed towards the desert in Palm Springs.  Matt, a teacher and musician, whipped out his guitar and I captured them sharing a moment.  Check out some of their moments captured below.  Congratulation Christina and Matt!

During the fall I had the pleasure of photographing the this wonderful family.  This is the second year I’ve captured their family portraits and I’m amazed at how their girls have grown. They choose to have their session at the Salton Sea.  The area offers such a beautiful backdrop for photos but be warned, you might step on a dead fish or two.

I had such a wonderful time photographing this precious little one.  Baby Shiloh, which means “the one to whom it belongs” or “His gift” had been an answer to prayer after many years.  I was so happy to be able to capture these sweet moments between her and her parents.  Truly a gift from God.
