We’ve known Laura and Sophia ever since Sophia was 7 years old. I can’t believe Sophia was the same age my eldest son is now. CRAZY! She has blossomed into a beautiful young lady right before our eyes. Laura has done a great job raising her. I loved taking these portraits of mother and daughter. The card I created gives you a glimpse of the love and laughter of their relationship. They are so much fun!
I met the Wades through church long before we both had children. There are a down to earth family and such a joy to be to be around. I was surprised when they told me that they haven’t taken a family photo in YEARS. Here are a couple portraits I took of them recently. I loved how daddy joined in on the fun on the last one.
It’s Family Portrait Season. To kick off the season I took a field trip to Irvine Park in Orange County and photographed my good ol’ friends the Dones’. I loved capturing them amidst the fall leaves. Sadly, this type of backdrop is not common in the desert. I absolutely love the last pic. The baby’s expression makes me crack up!
My dear friend’s daughter turned one two weeks ago and I had the privilege of capturing images of her first birthday. My friends are sooo creative. The party’s theme was Winnie-the-pooh. They had a read aloud, pumpkin hunt, potato sack races (even the daddy’s joined in on the fun), and or course there was food. It was such a cute and entertaining party. Happy Birthday Sweet Little Abby!
Howdy Partners! Earlier this month my husband’s cousin and her husband celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary. The party was located in the tiny and quaint western-looking town of Wickenburg, Arizona. It was neat to see everyone dressed as cowgirls and cowboys for the occasion. I loved the western backdrop they had custom made for guests to take pics. Check it out!
My eldest son turned SEVEN! To celebrate we went to one of his favorite restaurants- Ruby’s. My son loves trains, planes and automobiles so he really enjoys their atmosphere. After dinner, he was quite in shock when the waiter’s and waitresses’ came to sing him Happy Birthday. I LOVED his expression of total surprise. He LOVED the Hot Fudge sundae. I shot these pic’s with my son’s point n’ shoot. Cute!
Last weekend we went to Irvine, CA for a reunion with friends from our former church. It’s been four years since we’ve seen most of the folks that attended. Even though 4 years doesn’t seem that long, it certainly felt that way when I saw our friend’s kids all grown into young teens and adults. While I was there, I snapped some photos of my god-daughter Ella. She is quite a character!
I had the privilege of photographing Brock as a newborn earlier this summer. He’s is so adorable and precious, a true miracle. Shortly after birth, Brock was hospitalized with respiratory infection. Through God’s healing hand Brock fully recovered. I ordered an Asuka Book soft cover album for Brock’s parents and it came in today!
My nephew turned ONE this weekend. It was great getting together with family and friends. Here are a few photographs I took of Zek to commemorate his first year.
