Hey teens! The Desert Bride will be hosting a Prom Fashion Show February 27th at 4 p.m. Teens who purchase a dress for prom, homecoming or for their Quincenera from the Desert Bride will be given a coupon for $25 off a teen session or a 2-for-1 teen session. Come out and join me this Saturday and check their selection of beautiful dresses.
What is it? It’s a growing trend among couples whom choose to see each other before the ceremony. It is a private moment captured. This private meeting allows the couple to express themselves without distractions. In addition, it allows more time for them to be photographed as a couple. Usually, most couples are eager to join their guests (I don’t blame them) or want formals photographs taken directly after the ceremony. And, when it is time to have their couple portraits taken, the lighting might be anything but ideal.

My favorites of the day
You may remember Amber from a previous post. She’s a high school senior I photographed. Shortly after our session she decided to compete for Queen Scheherazade crown and won. The crown is well deserved as she is a lovely, outgoing and eloquent young lady. Good job mom & dad! Yesterday, we joined her family and friends and watched her on her throne as the float made its way down the parade route. Here are some pics. Enjoy!
I was excited to take portraits of my dear friends the Coronels. After much prayer, they were recently blessed with the HAPPIEST baby through the process of adoption. Their little guy was all smiles throughout the session. He takes after his mommy. Well, this session was without surprises. We decided to take some portraits near a water feature not knowing that it was actually a blowhole that goes off randomly throughout the day. Needless to say, we were soaked! No worries, the session continued. Check out the last few shots were the parents back side is wet. Truly, a moment captured.
I was excited to capture Katina’s pregnancy glow. She was radiant! During her session, we did a combination of studio portraits and naturally lit shots. I met Katina through the Indio MOMS Club, an International organization established to provide support for stay-at-home moms.
