During the fall I had the pleasure of photographing the this wonderful family. This is the second year I’ve captured their family portraits and I’m amazed at how their girls have grown. They choose to have their session at the Salton Sea. The area offers such a beautiful backdrop for photos but be warned, you might step on a dead fish or two.
During our session, Selah wasn’t happy. And that is okay because photography is capturing the moment where you are, a specific moment in time. Later, when sweet Selah is grown, her parents will be able to share the story of her first photo session. For now I’d like to share the story with you. A story with a happy ending. Enjoy!
I was excited to take portraits of my dear friends the Coronels. After much prayer, they were recently blessed with the HAPPIEST baby through the process of adoption. Their little guy was all smiles throughout the session. He takes after his mommy. Well, this session was without surprises. We decided to take some portraits near a water feature not knowing that it was actually a blowhole that goes off randomly throughout the day. Needless to say, we were soaked! No worries, the session continued. Check out the last few shots were the parents back side is wet. Truly, a moment captured.
Earlier this year, I took family portraits of the Richardson’s at the Oasis Resort in Palm Springs. Their family had not taken a large family portrait in quite a while so I was excited to do this for them. Here are a some pic’s from our session.
I love taking maternity portraits. I find that pregnant woman have a glow about them. Gabi was definitely glowing. She look absolutely beautiful with her pregnant belly. I had so much fun during this session, Gabi has such a calmness to her. Omar is hilarious. He had me cracking up throughout the shoot. Their baby is going to be blessed having them as parents. I can’t wait to meet their bundle of joy. Congrats Gabi & Omar!
I had so much fun during this session. This family is the SWEETEST! This was the first time they had a professional family portrait taken. Hopefully it won’t be there last because I certainly enjoyed capturing them.
I met the Imfeld’s for the first time during their session. They are such a fun and easy going family. I love the pictures of hubby and wife. The joy in their marriage really shows in the photos. Here are some of my fav’s. Enjoy!
I met the Wades through church long before we both had children. There are a down to earth family and such a joy to be to be around. I was surprised when they told me that they haven’t taken a family photo in YEARS. Here are a couple portraits I took of them recently. I loved how daddy joined in on the fun on the last one.
It’s Family Portrait Season. To kick off the season I took a field trip to Irvine Park in Orange County and photographed my good ol’ friends the Dones’. I loved capturing them amidst the fall leaves. Sadly, this type of backdrop is not common in the desert. I absolutely love the last pic. The baby’s expression makes me crack up!
