My nephew turned ONE this weekend. It was great getting together with family and friends. Here are a few photographs I took of Zek to commemorate his first year.
Earlier this year, I attended a seminar with my friend and very talented photographer Shannon Wilsey from Shannon Wilsey Photography located in Palm Springs (shannonwilseyphoto.com). The seminar’s speaker was Sandy Puc’, a renowned photographer who specializes in capturing photographs of children and families. After the seminar, I was totally jazzed and eager to try some of the techniques I learned. My neighbor just had a baby so I had a model. The baby’s name is Sidney and she is absolutely beautifu!. I didn’t get to try everything I learned and that’s okay. You have to be very flexible and patient when working with little one’s. Here’s one of my favorite’s from the session.
To all the dad’s out there, Happy Father’s Day! Little Stevie was about 9 months old when I first photographed him. I was so surprised when I saw him again for this photo shoot. He’s was running! He wasn’t wvwn walking when I last saw him. After I captured these moments between dad and the boy’s, I designed an album to display the photos. What a great gift! My brother asked If I would photograph him with my niece and nephew. He’s a HUGE Kansas City Chiefs fan so it was no surprise to me that he brought along his own props. It was sooo much fun capturing their fierce football player expressions and seeing them play in action. I decided to create an animoto video just for fun. Check it out!
