I love capturing children. I guess I love that they are carefree and are willing to act like themselves in front of the camera. Anna had no problems jumping, running and playing at the playground during her session. Take a peek at the slideshow featuring some images from her session.

It was a jammed-packed weekend at Grace Chapel Indio filled with a narrated dramatization, music, worship, baptisms, and the remembrance of the greatest gift of all, Jesus Christ. On Saturday, we rocked to the tunes of the Andrew Hopkins Project. If you are seeking a church, I invite you to consider Grace Chapel Indio.

What is it? It’s a growing trend among couples whom choose to see each other before the ceremony. It is a private moment captured. This private meeting allows the couple to express themselves without distractions. In addition, it allows more time for them to be photographed as a couple. Usually, most couples are eager to join their guests (I don’t blame them) or want formals photographs taken directly after the ceremony. And, when it is time to have their couple portraits taken, the lighting might be anything but ideal.
This past year I have had the privilege or working with the talented Albert Lewis of Mulberry Photography. Click here to check out his post on this wedding. Here’s a beautiful example of a first look meeting captured at the one of my favorite venues, The Parker, Palm Springs.
The First Look
I loved the way he looked at her.
You may remember Amber from a previous post. She’s a high school senior I photographed. Shortly after our session she decided to compete for Queen Scheherazade crown and won. The crown is well deserved as she is a lovely, outgoing and eloquent young lady. Good job mom & dad! Yesterday, we joined her family and friends and watched her on her throne as the float made its way down the parade route. Here are some pics. Enjoy!

I was excited to take portraits of my dear friends the Coronels. After much prayer, they were recently blessed with the HAPPIEST baby through the process of adoption. Their little guy was all smiles throughout the session. He takes after his mommy. Well, this session was without surprises. We decided to take some portraits near a water feature not knowing that it was actually a blowhole that goes off randomly throughout the day. Needless to say, we were soaked! No worries, the session continued. Check out the last few shots were the parents back side is wet. Truly, a moment captured.
I was excited to capture Katina’s pregnancy glow. She was radiant! During her session, we did a combination of studio portraits and naturally lit shots. I met Katina through the Indio MOMS Club, an International organization established to provide support for stay-at-home moms. If you are a new mom or a mom with young children, I highly recommend joining the MOM’s club. For more info click HERE.
I’d like to introduce you to my new blog. I have so much to blog about but first let me show you a new bag that was recently released by a Kelly Moore http://kellymoorebag.com
Since it still felt like summer in the desert, the scene for the engagement session was a little bit of country…Oak Glen. I love Oak Glen. The crisp air, sweet apples, and homemade apple pie. Joe and Joanna (cute, huh?) fit right in. They are such an easy-going and relaxed couple. I forgot to mention cool, as they brought along a set of motorcycles to include in the shoot. They are founders of Redeemed Racing, a motor-cross ministry that creates a safe atmosphere for its members and helps share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others on and off the track. To learn more about their ministry check out their website at www.www.redeemedracing.com. Here are come of my fav’s:
This was one of my most favorite baby sessions to date. I had the privilege of photographing sweet baby Mae. I loved capturing how she interacted with her mommy & daddy. Mom & Dad were so easy going and flexible thorughout the entire session. We even ventured outdoors to a field of flowers. We had to climb a hill of dirt to get there and got dirty but it was totally worth it. Thanks for choosing me to capture this beautiful moment in your lives!
